Getting back into Fusion 360
It has been a while seen I have used Fusion 360. Thankfully the lecturers gave us a refresher on the software. We were tasked with making a personalized keychain.
After the refresher, I decided to use the program more and mess around with what I can do.
The main shape is a logo from a game I play a lot. I added my name and the name of my favourite ship.
I started with a picture of the logo and sketch the outlines, indents and main logo.
The main challenge was trying to cut some pieces at an angle. One useful tip that helped me through this obstacle is that I was able to sketch on any surface of the model. This allowed me to cut at an angle by looking or cutting from a different perspective.
Finally, I ended it with two names.
Handphone Holder
We were given another task of making a handphone holder. For this task, I wanted to make it my own. What better way to make it your's than by putting something you made on it?
A logo I made myself with some inspiration from G2
I wanted to implement this logo into my phone holder. The logo was actually the hard part since I needed to make it back from scratch. The parameters were all set from the start as all seem to work when I changed the parameter.
After some time, I finally finished it. I am still disappointed in myself that I did not go for the fancy design I wanted to, but this work of art is mine and I am proud of it. Another challenge was taring to make sure my logo stays thereby adding bridges between the gaps.
I am a little sceptical of the total strength and balance of the model. I still made it big enough to make sure it fits my phone and is easy to stand.
