1. Our team Chemical Device
In this section, you will briefly describe your team chemical device.
What it is. What problems will the chemical device solve? And provide a hand sketch of the chemical device.
Our team Chemical Device
Half-boiled egg cooker
The half-boiled egg cooker is a device that lets you cook half-boiled eggs perfectly every time. Half-boiled eggs have many different ways and outcomes of how it is cooked. This can be very tedious since coffee shops workers have to make sure they have timed the eggs properly or they will be either overcooked or undercooked.

3. Design and Build Process
Part 1. Design of Frame, box and attachments, build of frame and gathering of materials and components (done by Alex).
Part 2. 3D printing of attachments and DC motor coding (done by Emily).
Part 3. Design and Build Box (done by Me, Syufyan).
Designing
Getting a box to fit all our components inside was difficult after we made the first box where it can fit all of our components inside but left no space to make adjustments.
The second box was made bigger to ensure if any last-minute changes can be made like adding another portable battery. The box was 4 times bigger in volume so we have a lot of space to work with.
Cutting
Before cutting we do need to make test cuts to ensure our box joints are tight enough to not be too loose but not be soo tight to not be able to be connected.
First Test
Second Test
The second test was not fit perfectly but

Comparison (Big vs Small)
With the final box cut and ready to be used, we placed all of the components inside
Part 4. Programming of temperature sensor and test run for the combined code (done by Iman).
Part 5. Integration of all parts and electronics (done by Everyone)
By combining the 3 parts with the circuit, we made our final prototype.

4. Problems and solutions
Coding
The problem we had first was the egg basket was in the wrong starting position.
Another problem was the code only runs when the temperature was at its set point.
The final problem was the DC motor not having the braking power to hold the basket in place. Gravity in this case was stronger.
We solve all three problems individually but first set up the code so the starting position is set at the top
The second is getting the remaining code to run only when the temperature has been reached.
Thirdly is to use a bit of power to turn the motor in one direction but not enough power to move the entire basket.
Lastly, set the code so that Gravity would do the work for us and bring the egg basket down.
Wiring
For wiring, we had too long wires which causes a lot of resistance which is not giving the H-Bridge enough power.
We solved this by decreasing the number of wires we used which correlates with our change of frame design and decreasing the height of our frame.
Frame design
The frame for us was too big which cause more wires to be used. Like in the previous section, more wires mean less power is delivered.
So we modified the frame so that there was less height which means fewer wires.
Laser Cutting
The problem was mainly due to the size of our initial box which made no room for extra components if needed and adjustments that may be needed.
So we designed a bigger box that is four times bigger which gave us even more space and room to add in extra components like the extra portable battery that we added and gave us more room to organize which components are in which positions.
Improvements
For some improvements, we could have used a servo motor instead of a DC motor so an H-bridge was not required which mean fewer power sources, fewer wires and overall a simpler circuit. Using an H-bridge was a great idea but for our purpose, for now, it was not needed. Also, an additional screen to show the temperature of the water
